Bula Again!

I'm always surprised I have the patience to get online. It takes forever and it keeps disconnecting. I can't wait to get to Sydney and have real internet.

Today was pretty cool! We went to the rainforest. I've never been to a rainforest before. It was so beautiful! I feel like I use that word a lot, but it's the best word to describe Fiji.

We walked an hour through the forest and there were lots of waterfalls! Some were small, but some were pretty big! Then there was this waterfall with a large, deep pool of water collected at the bottom. The said it was 8 meters deep. I jumped off the top of the cliff/waterfall into the pool! It was the scariest and most thrilling thing I've ever done. Someone took a video of me doing it, hopefully they will tag me on facebook so you can all see it! The water at the bottom was FREEZING! Then I sat at the bottom of the waterfall, it felt so good.

Tonight we are going out to dinner with the rest of the AIFS people. I can't wait to get more normal food. Someone brought Oreos, and I had one today. I used to HATE Oreos, but the one I had today tasted soooo good. I miss American food. I miss miswestern accents. Most people here have a southern, Boston or New Jersey accent. I'm probably going to talk funny when I get back lol.

Tomorrow, Friday, we are having a free day with our host families. They are taking us to a museum and then we are going on a picnic. We also might go to town and go to the DVD shop. DVDs here are as low as 40 cents Fijian. They work perfectly! I was sceptical at first, but my host families say that all videos are that cheap. Nuts!

After our free day, Philip and his roommates are coming over to my house because we are having a Kava drinking contest. I don't like Kava at all, so I won't have more than one bowl. It makes me sluggish and it tastes like dirty water. Philip is bringing some home so don't worry Lisa, you can tell Rudy that Philip will share :)

I miss everyone but I'm feeling less homesick today; which is nice. I don't want to go home, I just want home to come to me! I really wish my mom and dad and sisters could see what I'm seeing. But I'm definitely bringing them back here. My host family already said that I have to bring my family back, and I'm definitely going to.

My roommate wants on the computer so I should probably get going :( Less than 3 days left in Fiji!
