Hunter Valley!

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I went to Hunter Valley, which is a famous (and the oldest) wine area in Australia.

We took a wine tour. I've never had wine before and I didn't really know if I would like it or not. But this trip was included with my program so of course I went and I'm so glad I did!

We went to several different wineries, and tasted six different wines at each. We also went cheese tasting. I fell in love with this feta cheese that they had that had sun dried tomatoes on it. YUM! But it was $20 for a tiny jar and I knew it wouldn't even last the bus ride home.

Hunter Valley is unbelievably gorgeous! And I had a great time tasting wine. I learned that I don't like red wine, but I really like white wine and dessert wines. I also learned that I prefer the cheaper wines compared to the expensive ones (haha). I think this is because the more expensive ones are older and I don't like the super fermented taste. I like the light, fruity, sweet wines.

Philip really enjoyed himself as well. We plan on going wine tasting again in the future.

Oh! I now make homemade "ice cream". It's actually really good. I mix vanilla yogurt, bananas, strawberries, and kiwi and stick it in the freezer for a few hours. It's so yummy!

I love and miss you all :)

P.S. I'm never coming home ;)
