I'm not supposed to be for another week.
STA Travel, the travel agency I went with, made a huge mistake and booked us for two things at once. Because of this, Philip and I ended up missing our overnight bus to Cairns, our flight to Darwin, our 7 day tour of the outback, and a flight back to Sydney.
STA is not open on the weekends either. So we were stuck in Airlie Beach and had no way of knowing what to do. We had a few hours before our tour started in Darwin, but it would have cost us over $2,000 to get there on time. Neither Philip or I had that much money.
So, we have spent the last three days of our lives on a bus. We caught busses from Airlie Beach, all the way back to Sydney. This totaled over 40 hours of being on a bus (not counting the times we got out and waited for our next bus.) How far of a drive is this? Way over 2,000 km. Airlie Beach back to my home in Sydney is a longer drive than driving from my house in Dexter to Miami, Florida. Now imagine taking that journey by bus and having to switch. Now imagine taking that journey with motion sickness.
Philip has really bad motion sickness. When we go to Cedar Point, he gets sick. When we ride on a boat, he gets sick. Sometimes when he is in a car he gets sick. Being on a bus for that long must have been awful for him. I felt so so terrible.
STA is giving us grief about getting our money back for this trip. I know that they legally have to since it was their mistake. I hope I can get the money back before it's too late so I can use it to travel. I really still want to see the outback. I really want to explore Melbourne. I would love to go to New Zealand. This is so frustrating.

This was taken during our flight to Hervey Bay. Two Australian kids sat behind me during the flight and they were telling Australian racist jokes. It was really strange. A lot of Australians are extremely racist against asians.

This is Hervey Bay. It was really nice. It was a very small town and it was cool to get to know and understand more of the Australian culture.
Fraser Island was excellent. It definitely changed my views on a lot of things in life. And I really enjoyed watching Philip drive :)

Please pray that I will get my money back and that I can still travel to the outback. Also pray that I will have no more bad luck!!! I've had enough! :)
